Modelling kinectic components in Revit

Architectural Technology Year 3 students have recently submitted their Modelling, Simulation and Visualisation assignments. Each student was assigned to design and model two kinetic components that could be rotated/moved or transformed in some way. In order to create the components the students had to consider and establish parameters and formulas within Revit.

Students had to prepare an A1 Revit based layout to display the functionality of the components in a Revit modelling environment. They were to use their final major project designs to be the basis for connecting the components.

Below is a preview of the work produced.

The kinetic component evident in the visuals are a multitude of louvres that can pivot to decrease sun glare into the glass core of the building.
