New Designers 2017
From 5th to 8th July our Product Design and Architecture Technology students are participating in a annual exhibition in London. The exhibition brings together graduating students around the country from various disciplines to showcase the best of their work. We are proud that our Product Design course has been a participant for several years running and since 2016 they have also been joined by our Architectural Technology students. AT video presentations
Our third year architectural technology students have now for two years in a row been asked to prepare videos that present designs or other designs of their choice. The work is getting better and better by the year and we are very much proud of these student exceptional performance. Students are allowed to use any media or presentation method. Degree show 2017
This years degree show will be held on the 9th of June. The official start is at 19:00 The 3D department will however hold its own ceremony to recognize its current graduates and this will be held at approximately 20:00 in MB14. Maidwell building. We hope to see all of our previous graduates, current students as well as prospective students in this day of celebration. School visit
On 01 of March we had the pleasure to host students from Halesowen School. The students were engaged in a task which combined the three programs we teach in the 3D department. The students were therefore to build a structure from given materials. The objectives were to build a structure that can hold a balloon, keep it as high as possible, use minimum amount of material and create a sense of enclosure for the model human. Subject Futures Week
Each year we have a week when instead of our regular lectures we are visited by various industry speakers to introduce us to their industry practice, products, examples and inspiration stories. Waterside Construction site visit
To ensure that students understand their theory and paper based skills from classes. Architectural Technology Year 2 and Year 3 students have visited a construction site to see up-close the specifics behind construction methodologies. The current site is offering the students to see both steel and concrete based framed buildings. This gives the students a opportunity to see many of the building components up close and in 1:1 scale. #ArchitecturalTechnology

Madrid Trip. November 2016
